Food Trucks: Double Whammy

It’s an abundance of riches this week at Glenwood!  Two Food Trucks!!

Tonight:

Hardy’s Bar-B-Que makes an appearance.

Hardy's BBQ“Smoking meats to transform ordinary into extraordinary is our business.”

Hardy’s is “Florida Style BBQ”, whatever that means.  (The only definition I could find was “BBQ cooked a Humid Sub-Tropic Climate surrounded by Alligators, Water Moccasins, Florida Panthers, Africanized Bees, Hurricanes, Stingrays, Rattlesnakes, Feral Pigs, Sinkholes, Sharks, Fireants, Black Widows, Jelly Fish, Mosquitoes, Coral Snakes, Lightning, Wild Fires, and Rednecks”.)

But Hardy’s is good stuff.  In the Safeway National Capital BBQ Battle from 2005-2008 they were:

  • 1st Place BBQ Pork Ribs
  • 1st Place Best BBQ Sauces
  • 2nd Place Best BBQ Smoked Chicken

They’ll be on site around 5pm this evening and will stay until they run out of food.  You can see their menu HERE.

Tomorrow Night:

LA Taco will be here, also starting at 5.

The folks behind LA Taco Truck have been serving southwestern American style food in the DC area for over 25 years.

In addition to their delicious corn tortilla treats, their menu also includes burritos, quesadillas, nachos, and chips with dip!  And don’t miss one of their amazing homemade sauces.  Their menu is HERE.

If neither of those strikes your fancy, just bring your own and come join the Friday Night Club up on the hill by the shed.  It’s potluck if you’re inclined to share, or you can just socialize if you’re not.  We’re easy.  (BTW look out for an announcement next week regarding the FNC).
