Message from the President

GREAT NEWS! We’ve closed the deal on our financing for Phase II of our
Renovation Plan, which will allow us to begin construction of our new pool shortly after
Labor Day. We were approved for the full amount requested at a fixed rate percentage.
This will allow us to build the new pool and complete some of the improvements we had
hoped for. Construction is scheduled to begin September 8th. Feel free to contact me
directly if you have questions at blupin1@yahoo.com or 301-589-6225.

Thanks again for a successful season this year. We look forward to seeing our old
pool out over Labor Day Weekend. As always, please let us know how we can enhance
your membership at Glenwood. See you at the pool!

~Bruce Lupin, Board President

Grounds Update

If you haven’t already done so, please mark your calendar to join us on September
6 and 7, beginning at 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM, respectively. Key projects, as we close
down the grounds and prepare for new pool construction, include:

  • Storing furniture and other equipment
  • Relocating the perimeter pool-area stones and flagstone from the check in area
  • Other projects to be announced

If you can spare even an hour, I’d appreciate knowing in advance. Please contact
me at tdurkin@NEBFINVEST.ORG.

NEWSLETTER FAQ of the Month

Q. I love keeping abreast of Glenwood news and taking better advantage of my
Glenwood Recreation Club membership. Will The Glenwood Gazette continue to be
distributed during the off-season?

A. Most definitely. The primary focus of the newsletter over the next three to five
months will be to alert you as pool construction milestones are reached and direct you to
progress reports (including digital photos) at www.glenwoodpool.com. After the first of
the year, we’ll begin sharing information on the 2004 Annual Meeting and the 2004
Membership Campaign.
